The thread started fairly recently so in case its something you havent tested out yet, its better to give a heads up. However, while driving if I am already on the pedal and use the hand lever it would make it difficult to apply more front brake until the handle was oh ya, not trying to be negative at all. As pedal pressure drops the front calipers start to grab. I agree and the method that I have found best for coming out of "park" is to lightly rest my foot on the pedal while releasing the hand brake. I think the issue you were getting at is that if the hand brake is set, the pedal is hard and the front brakes are very difficult to depress. But essentially if there were a panic situation both the pedal and the hand brake apply pressure to the rear calipers if used at the same time. So, technically, you can use the brakes at the same time its just you couldn't modulate because the hand brake would be adding force to the rear brakes over and above what the foot brake is doing. But putting the hand brake down does directly lift the pedal until the handle is all the way down. It is hard to explain but if I press the brake lightly and lift the hand brake the fluid displacement into the hand brake allows the pedal to drop. The effect would be the same on a twin piston system with adjustable balance bar. Pass through hydraulic single channel piston (0.75” preferred for minimal throw)Ĭlick to expand.It is dual piston. Ok, now that that is out of the way here are some details regarding common fittings and missing information (or unconfirmed) that is needed to make this a more easy install.
